Life is a journey merely pushed by the dreamer inside ourselves...

Just want to share with you all a song that have been a inspiration through out my life...

The song is in portuguese (such an aaaaamazing language!), you can find the youtube link below the lyrics. As probably most of ye have no idea how to read portuguese, I will give a small insight of what it says/means.

The song tells that in life one should look at the World and simply "jump" into it... feel the fear in every step and every challenge... and still have strength to win every battle. In the song he says that you are the one guiding your way to love... that each one of us is guiding our own dream/life!
That's the way we should be... happy to be crazy and fearless but never forget that Life is a journey merely pushed by the dreamer inside ourselves.

Olhar o Mundo e saltar,
Sentir o medo mas vencer,
É teu o caminho que leva a amar,
É teu o tempo de sonhar.

E vou ser assim até morrer,
Feliz por ser louco
Mas saber
Que a vida afinal não é mais
Que a força de um menino sonhador.
A vida afinal não é mais
Que a força de um menino sonhador.

Freedom: The Western utopia

"Westerns" usually claim with a smiley face that they are free... that in their countries there is freedom of choice and that this is definetly the way to go! Sure, I won't disagree that there is some degree of "flexibility" in the western world regarding some matters like politics, religion, etc. However, I wouldn't call that Freedom.

Most of humans live in society and from my point of view what makes Freedom impossible is society itself. Society is structured upon a somewhat organized system of rules that is widely accepted within that group of individuals. Bare in mind that these rules are not necessarily written as laws but are reinforced by social pressure. These rules dictate what is consider (at the moment) right or wrong. If you choose the wrong path you will be judged and socially discriminated for that.

On the other hand, true Freedom is only possible through the inexistence of any kind of rule. In this way, individuals would be able to fully express their will... and of course this would include all types of antisocial behaviours (killing, raping, etc). As judgement may affect free human behaviour, in a trully free world people would'nt be judged for antisocial behaviours but only accepted by others as different. If freedom really existed you would give a chance to your child to choose from joining school or staying home and play around with his friends. In a trully free world, people wouldn't need to give up of any of their dreams and desires... Respect for others wouldn't be possible and for all those reasons Love wouldn't be possible either.

Wrapping up, my believe is that Freedom is a western utopia... We live in society and therefore we need to respect each other. Thus, rules are needed to some extent wether you like it or not.

Total freedom is only possible through loneliness and isolation from society. I doubt you want to be that free...

P.S. - The idea of this post came out from a loooong conversation with a friend. Thanks J.

Rainbows and perspectives...

I guess Einstein was right! Why wouldn't he be after all?

He said something like: "In life it is all relative". I would just have added... except for God, since something needs to be absolute to make relative possible. Anyways, a good and simple example of the Theory of Relativity of Einstein are Rainbows...
Rainbows basically occur after diffraction of white light. This phenomenon allows us to see a "couple" of colors perfectly aligned. Now, the interesting part is that some people will be able to see how beautiful the rainbow is... and some other won't! Standing on the right side of it will let you enjoy all the colours and probably find a pot of gold, whereas standing on the wrong side of it would make it impossible to see it. You may even doubt that it exists. While is there just infront of you.

Life is pretty much like a rainbow. So, a good piece of advice would be try and get the best perspective you can. And enjoy...

Bring on the colours.

Intro

Dear all,

Never thought to have time to maintain a blog, since I am always running late to finnish something else. Now that I still don't have time for it, I decided to create it and make it true. Does it make sense? No? Well, life is not really predictable and this is an example.
Anyways, I thought I could use it to post comments about scandals and other media blockbuster info. However, I changed my mind (a couple of times now) and I will eventually use it to post random thoughts about interesting and curious details of life. (Could I write anything more vague than that? hum?)
Owh! Should also say that I am writting this first introductory note in english so that "everyone" can understand. However, I will probably have some posts in portuguese and spanish eventually.

Hope you enjoy it!

Love,
B
